Hi there.

This is to announce the release of version 1.0.1 of the knl package,
which is a replacement for the rdev, swapdev, rootflags, ramsize and
vidmode programs, and allows all of the kernel image options to be set
with just one run of the program.

This version adds the ability to specify the use of a remote NFS root
partition, and also includes a few minor tweaks to the code to ease
future development, but no bugfixes were needed since no bugs were
found (a situation that makes me VERY nervous).

This package is available as both source and i386 RPM's from the URL
specified below:

    ftp://ftp.rhw.ml.org/pub/rhw/OS/Linux/

The files required are:

    knl-1.0.1-1.i386.rpm - x86 family binary and manpage.
knl-1.0.1-1.src.rpm - Source with Makefile and manpage.

In addition, these RPM's have been uploaded to RedHat's incoming
directory, and will hopefully appear thereon in the near future. I'm
not 100% certain of the procedure for submitting to RedHat, so if I've
gone about it the wrong way, will somebody please tell me what the
correct way is?

Best wishes from Riley.
