At Uwe's suggestion, I've added a section at WineHQ where smallish
sample programs can be uploaded. The idea is that you can upload a
program which demonstrates some flaw in Wine, along with a detailed
description. This makes it easier for other developers to see
precisely what problem you are experiencing and fix it.

Although most people have their own sites where they can put such things,
a central location has the following advantages:
  1. It's a central location: all the problems in one place.
  2. Posts to Usenet get forgotten about, while problems reported here
are permanent (until I delete them).
  3. Fixed problems can be saved to build a regression suite.

Check it out now at http://www.winehq.com/bugs/ and .../bugs.cgi .
Feedback appreciated.

Other recent WineHQ news:
  1. Binary patch file uploading should now work.
  See http://www.winehq.com/patches.cgi .
  2. CVS tree is updated for 980503. You may need to do
    cvs add loader/ne
(or something like that) in order to pick up the new loader/ne
directory. WineHQ CVS info is at http://www.winehq.com/cvs.html .
  3. There's a daily build from the CVS tree. Look at
    http://www.winehq.com/daily.out
to see in what way I've screwed up the CVS tree in the past 24 hours.

Cheers,

doug.
