From: jhpb@altera.gaithersburg.md.us (Joseph H. Buehler) Subject: wormdat 1.1 - a tool to manipulate WanDAT 2000 DAT tapes as WORM drives Date: Mon, 27 Apr 1998 07:22:23 GMT -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- I just uploaded wormdat 1.1 to the incoming directory on ftp.redhat.com. There is a source RPM and an i386 RPM (compiled for Redhat 5.0). A couple paragraphs from the README are attached. The software should not be difficult to port to other SCSI DAT drives. Joe Buehler jhpb@sarto.gaithersburg.md.us This is wormdat, an NFS server that makes a WangDAT 2000 DAT tape drive look something like a WORM (write once read many) disk drive. It is written in C++, and was developed under ESIX SVR4/386 (4.0.3A) using gcc 2.5.8, then ported to RedHat linux 4.2 (currently 5.0) using egcs. Included is: - - the NFS server - - a program to control the NFS server's operation - - a set of programs to access the features of WangDAT 2000 tape drives - - a C++ class library to access WangDAT 2000 features - - a tool to generate class libraries for manipulation of arbitrary SCSI data structures - -- This article has been digitally signed by the moderator, using PGP. http://www.iki.fi/mjr/cola-public-key.asc has PGP key for validating signature.
