They are getting a lot of suggestions to port their software to Linux. This would probably be a relatively easy port - they already run on several UNIX platforms. Still, quality assurance (testing) would cost them more than a million. They spent several millions porting SAS to the Mac and then promoting it, and then had very disappointing sales. So for SAS - no Linux and no future development for the Mac.
