News Peruser 3.0 Beta 1 is ready for testing.

News Peruser is a simple, X-based, offline newsreader for single-user
Linux systems with dial-up access to the internet. Features include header
retrieval, true threading by references, and regular expression filtering.
Version 3.0 is a complete rewrite from scratch. Mail support has been
taken out of the program. 

If you tried Peruser before and thought it sucked. It sucks less now.
