=====BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE=====
Generic IP Firewall Chains version 1.3.1 is now on the web site:
http://www.adelaide.net.au/~rustcorp/ipfwchains/ipfwchains.html
Join the mailing list by sending a message containing the word
"subscribe" to ipchains-request at wantree.com.au. To mail to the
list use `ipchains' instead of `ipchains-request'.
IPChains is a kernel patch (for 2.0.x and 2.1.x kernels) and a utility
(`ipchains') to replace ipfwadm and the normal Linux firewalling. It
contains various enhancements over standard firewalling.
If there are no bugs found within a week (hurry!) I'll be submitting
this for inclusion in the mainstream kernel, so please give it a run,
especially SMP people.
Changes since last release:
o Format of policy-change kernel interface changed, to allow same
ipchains binary under both 2.0 and 2.1 kernels, and simplify glibc
interface.
o Userspace tools now compile under glibc.
o Binary release now glibc.
o Binary release no longer includes `ipfw.4' man page.
o Updated HOWTO.
Bug fixes since last release:
o Fixed typo which cause mark not to be initialised to 0.
[Thanks to Alexey Kuznetsov].
o Removed extraneous debug messages for 2.0 kernels.
[Thanks to Ricardo Kustner].
o Fixed race condition correctly.
o Now compiles under SMP.
Thanks,
Rusty.
