Subject: Coas 0.10 Release is now available

The COAS 0.10 release is available now!
	=======================================

The 0.10 release of COAS is now available. This is a pre-alpha release.
You can just barely start to do real administration with this system, and
you should be able to get a good idea of the general architecture, and
familiarize yourself with the development enviroment for module authors.
The focus of this release has been bugfixes, infrastructure polish,
and producing a first draft of the user account administration module.

This release contains a couple of working mappers, and one functional
configurator. You might look at the amount of infrastructure code and say
"Geez Louise!, When are lots of modules going to start showing up?" We've
been polishing away at the infrastructure in order to reduce churn when we
start the bulk of the module development. There's a new logging system
which should make debugging easier. There have been numerous refinements
on the data model engine, some dialog and clam helper classes have been
developed, and of course this release includes _lots_ of bugfixes.

I know I said we'd have the Module Author's Guide by now, but as usual,
we've gotten hung up on other things. There's now an outline, and the
next release should contain much more documentation for module authors
(really!). The existence of more samples should help those who are
interested get off the ground. Please be patient. I believe the
development pace will accelerate over the next few months, to everyone's
benefit.

A tarball is available at:
	ftp://ftp.coas.org/pub

Please see the README in pub for details about what you need to
download in order to build the system. Several programs on which COAS
relies are also available from the above location, in RPM format.

Any feedback you provide will be very much appreciated, and should be
directed either directly to me, or preferably to the COAS mailing list.
