Hi,

We're pleased to unveil:

ftp://ftp.lmh.ox.ac.uk

It will hopefully eventually be a comprehensive collection point for the
latest and greatest versions of "cool" software related to Linux.

The site is probably of use primarily to those in the UK or on the
European academic networks, as this site is likely to be fastest from
these locations.

Mirroring is performed automatically, by a new program "ftpgrab" to be
announced separately shortly.

Currently packages mirrored include:

kernel, gimp, gtk, redhat 5.0 updates, netscape, gcc, linux quake, glibc
snapshots, wine, dosemu, elks, GNOME, qt,...... more.

Please feel free to use this site, and more importantly, bombard
<admin@ferret.lmh.ox.ac.uk> with requests for new packages to mirror.
