You need tar, cpio, and gzip to extract the distribution.
Minimum versions of required system software are: Linux 1.1.92,
glibc 2.0.5, ld.so 2.0.5, binutils 2.8.1, and XFree86 3.3.
You need gcc 2.7.0 or above to compile programs. If using the
Red Hat Package Manager, you'll need rpm 2.3.
