Subject: Re: [S.u.S.E. Linux] Applixware

This is a message I got from Bodo on this problem:
Important Information

The installation of Applixware on a S.u.S.E. Linux System differs
slightly from the installation routine on a Redhat system.
To install Applixware on S.u.S.E. Linux, you first need to login as
root. Once logged in, mount the Applixware CD:

        mount /dev/cdrom /cdrom -o exec,no_root_squash,ro

Now change to the directory /cdrom

        cd /cdrom

Next, run the installation program:

        ./install-applix

And a final step, install the Applix libraries:

        rpm -i RPMS/i386/applix-libs-4.3-2.office.i386.rpm

Then go back to your home directory and umount the cdrom. Now you're
done!

        cd
        umount /cdrom

To start Applixware, type in

        /opt/applix/applix
