In other words, if reiserfs does something special, we should make 
standard interfaces for doing that special thing, so that everybody can 
do it without stepping on other peoples toes.

Andrew Morton's other options were a) accept as-is, and c) reject.

It looks good for reiser4 that Andrew and Linus seem to be favoring option b).
