A practical concern with any type of white-listing is that the list goes out of date and creates upgrade dependencies. If the kernel is going down that path, it would be preferable if there were a mechanism for dynamically updating the list, as with the dynamic PCI id table.

Given its scope, SCSI command white listing is absolutely littered with them. I don't think you want to stir dynamic update into that already seething pot...
