It's a real pity that the M$ anti-trust settlement didn't include a clause positively forbidding sale of PC hardware bundled with a single OS.
IMHO pre-installed OSes should be _outlawed_ except where _at least three_ different, competitive products (counting multiple versions of linux as only one) are installed, there is no default boot option and the order of the products on the boot menu is randomised so that there is no built-in bias as to which the end-user will pick.
