CMUCL 19a has been announced on 4 August 2004. This major release
includes several changes concerning performance improvements, better
ANSI compliance, overflow checking, a better FFI, a basic
implementation of simple streams, and many more.
CMUCL (CMU Common Lisp) "is a free, high performance implementation of
the Common Lisp programming language which runs on most major Unix
platforms". It provides an advanced native code compiler, a powerful
FFI, debugging and profiling tools, an Emacs-like editor, and more.
