William Harold Newman has announced SBCL 0.8.13 on 25 July 2004. This
version features package locks, a new way of loading shared libraries,
the SB-PROF module working on most non-x86 architectures, some
performance optimizations, and more.

SBCL (Steel Bank Common Lisp) is a Common Lisp implementation based on
the CMUCL (CMU Common Lisp) sources, but it puts a greater emphasis on
maintainability. SBCL runs under Linux, xBSD and Tru64 on x86, MacOS
X (Darwin on PowerPC), Alpha, AMD64, MIPS, PPC and SPARC CPUs.
