I never use (or miss) "import key" functionality, since I have gpg
configured to automatically fetch keys from a keyserver if I don't
already have the necessary key, and I use command-line gpg for key
manipulation.
The biggest problem I've found with the auto-fetch is that it blocks the
whole mailer. For most long-running operations Kmail is good at
separating the UI from the long operation and showing a progress/cancel
control, but for the key fetch it totally blocks without even being able
to redraw (same as the way sylpheed does for just about everything).
