Subject:  [Swsusp-devel] A brand new suspend script

Greetings,

Firstly, I apologise for not addressing the bug reports on the old
suspend script. But, with the help of Carsten Rietzschel, we've come
up with a new suspend script which is much more modular, and easier
to maintain (IMHO). The config file format is much easier to read.
The script can be extended through the use of scriptlets.

This is the first public release, so it's bound to have bugs I've
yet to find. Please let me know if you do find any, or if you have
any other suggestions. I'm actually using this suspend script too :)

It uses /proc/swsusp/last_result to tell you what went wrong with
the suspend process, and even interrogates the interface_version :)

Startup time for the script is a little slow (0.7 seconds on my
PIII-900), but can be reduced to 0.5 seconds by using ash. (Oh yeah,
the script works under ash, bash and zsh :) The startup time is
still something I'd like to reduce though.

It isn't self installing - there's an install.sh script to execute
to install it.

Thanks must go to Carsten for the grub, modules and bootsplash
scriptlets and many ideas!

Cheers,

Bernard.
