The Singapore Linux Conference 2002 is quickly running out of sponsors
to approach. We have been in talks with many of the big names, but
slowly most have pulled out or are not willing to give financial
support. SLC is a conference we hold every year and is the big reason
why we have a Linux User Group of Singapore. We need sponsors to get
money for speakers.
This year we are holding the conference on October 14th-16th which has
seemingly conflicted with Microsoft's APACFusion. They are holding this
regional 'partner' conference which does not in any way conflict with
our conference audience. (Note: Last year we had a similar Microsoft
conflict on our date in March 2001 in the same exposition center!)
Sponsors who were planning and promising money are now saying that their
budget/people have been allocated for the Microsoft conference. So we
are running out of options. Any Linux/BSD companies interested in
marketing in SE Asia (Singapore specifically)?
