DOWNLOAD
--------

There are basically two ways to download the ISO images of Conectiva Linux 10:
BitTorrent and FTP.

We strongly suggest the use of BitTorrent. It has many advantages over FTP,
such as:

 * simultaneous download of multiple pieces of the same file, maximizing
   bandwidth usage
 * sharing with other BitTorrent users of parts which have already been received
 * high download speed, specially in situations where files are on high demand

Direct links for BitTorrent download:
http://distro2.conectiva.com.br/torrents/cl10_cd1.torrent
http://distro2.conectiva.com.br/torrents/cl10_cd2.torrent
http://distro2.conectiva.com.br/torrents/cl10_cd3.torrent

Quick example which shows the use of the Linux text client to download the first ISO
image:

btdownloadcurses.py --url http://distro2.conectiva.com.br/torrents/cl10_cd1.torrent

This will produce the following directory and file structure when the download
is complete:

cl10_cd1
|-- cl10_cd1.iso <--- actual ISO image
|-- cl10_cd1.iso.asc <--- detached digital signature
`-- cl10_cd1.iso.md5 <--- MD5 checksum

In order to obtain maximum performance, please make sure your firewall allows
incoming connections to your 6881 tcp port.

IMPORTANT: please, after your download is complete, keep the BitTorrent client
running as long as possible. This ensures that other users can have a good
download speed.

The ISO images are also available via FTP:
ftp://ftp.conectiva.com.br/pub/conectiva/iso/cl10_cd1.iso
ftp://ftp.conectiva.com.br/pub/conectiva/iso/cl10_cd2.iso
ftp://ftp.conectiva.com.br/pub/conectiva/iso/cl10_cd3.iso

Mirrors will probably take a day or two to fetch all files.

MD5SUMS:
c645ca0e8464e4571dd4b5a5b20ecbc7 cl10_cd1.iso
dcfdcdd5ccc169f1b94d603f78bdaade cl10_cd2.iso
8bf8de83a8b73b74290470afd0828945 cl10_cd3.iso

Have fun!
