*** Glom

Glom is a GUI that allows you to design database table definitions and the
relationships between them. It also allows you to edit and search the data in
those tables. The design is loosely based upon FileMaker Pro, with the added
advantage of separation between user interface and data.

Glom uses the PostgresSQL database backend but it can not edit databases
that it did not create, because it uses only a simple subset of Postgres
functionality.

Here are some screenshots:

Glom is written in C++, with gtkmm, Bakery, and libgdamm.

*** Obvious/Known problems.

* You _must_ save the document, or you will not be able to use the database
  that you created/changed. It will save automatically in future.
* There is no way to administer the users.
* The User Level is not dependent on database access rights.
* The Details view should show lists of related records directly among the regular fields.
* Find doesn't work.
* There is no printing/reports.

*** Changes

glom 0.8.4:

* The version of Bakery that you need to build this release and 0.8.3 has now been released.
* Connection dialog: The connect button is now activated when you press return in the password entry.
* Data Details: Groups of fields are now shown together in a HIG-style frame.
* Design: field, table, and layout group titles now have defaults, by replacing white space and
  capitalizing.
* Some build improvements.
  (Murray Cumming)
* Added Portugese translation (Duarte Loreto)
* Added British English translation (Gareth Owen)
