Many of you may know Linux kernel developer Leonard Zubkoff (BusLogic
and DAC960 maintainer, among other contributions). Leonard was killed
recently in a helicopter crash. See
http://www.ktva.com/Stories/0,1413,163%257E6883%257E834332,00.html.
Leonard was one of the smartest people that I know, and I consider
myself lucky enough to have been privileged to work with him. He will
be missed.

I've only had contact to him a couple of times via email
discussing a few SCSI related problems. But, yes, he was a
very nice person to work with.
If I remember well, he does leave some familiy behind.
I wish them to have the strength and the means to overcome this
big loss.

I remember that Leonard was very active in squashing 2.0.X SMP bugs and I worked with him on several occasions with my deadlock problems. Perhaps the most accessible kernel developer I've ever worked with and certainly a good natured developer. A man much smarter than I, and one who did more than his share of Linux development work. *sigh*

My condolences to his family and friends.

Does anyone know how Leonard Zubkoff's brother, David Zubkoff, can be contacted? email? phone #? This request was made on 07.12.2005.
