Having converted to mh/sylpheed from auis/andrew, my requirements are relatively simple -
a) messages are files.
b) folders are directories.
c) I don't care if you cheat with a hidden database to keep response times decent, but the mail software must handle rebuilding the database without complaint when it doesn't match the folder.
d) mail software must know the difference between unread mail and new mail and allow me to ignore unread mail.
e) and have a decent tty client for those times when I don't have my GUI handy.

mh/sylpheed just barely works (has problems with idea of unread mail being ignored). So any better suggestions?
