Don't even think about it on an old system

Parent article: Mozilla Firefox 0.9 released

It uses xft, which as far as I know doesn't exist on RH9 or earlier. The built-in fonts are wretched. They don't have any GTK-1 or i586 builds, either; the latter means that none of my dual-boot systems will work.

Most of the extensions, including *all* of the ones I was using, are gone.

Think I'll wait for 1.0; this one's just too buggy. Too bad; I was looking forward to it.

xft is present and works fine on RH9. RH8 and earlier are out of luck, though.
