Hi there, I'm not sure if this is appropriate for LWN or not. It may fit into
the 'keeping your CDs current' category :)

I released v1.1.0 of up2dateiso yesterday. For those who don't know it is a
Python program that takes a set of distribution CD iso's and updates the
rpms on them with the latest rpms from the updates archive. RH9, FC1 and
now FC2 are supported.

v1.1.0 adds more rsync mirrors and a random selection process to help
distribute the load more evenly between them. The 4 CD iso set of Fedora
Core 2 is now supported.

The only glitch is that you need to run FC1 to update FC1 isos and FC2 to
update FC2. RH9 appears to work ok on FC1. The problem is that the
utilities that are used are extracted from the iso and if you don't already
have the libraries they are linked with you won't be able to run them. I'm
still looking for a good solution to this.
