Scientific and enginerring are Linux late adopters?

>>
the adoption of Linux is happening most quickly in Banking, Government and Retail, followed by sectors that use scientific or engineering applications (automotive, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, education etc.)

Maybe he just came into the industry & is looking at "new adoption" numbers, and the "new adopter" numbers are low for scientific & engineering

because

the scientists & engineers all adopted 5 to 8 years ago & there are no "new adopters" in this group.
