*** New TET release, TET3.6a, adds support for Python
The latest version of the open source TET3 automated testing
framework, TET3.6a is now available from the tetworks web site at
http://tetworks.opengroup.org/tet/ and also ftp://ftp.xopen.org/pub/TET3/ .
This release is a minor update over TET3.6, with the key feature being
the addition of a new API to support the Python programming language.
Python is an interpreted, interactive, object-oriented programming
language. It is often compared to Tcl, Perl, Scheme or Java. Further
information on Python can be obtained at www.python.org.
A bundle of just the Python API for TET is also available at:
The README file is at:
The Test Environment Toolkit (TET), is a multi-platform uniform test
scaffold, into which non-distributed and distributed test suites can
be incorporated. TET supports tests written in C, C++, Perl, Tcl, Shell
(sh , bash), Python, POSIX shell and Korn Shell. TET is used widely for
conformance testing, including by projects such as the Linux Standard
Base for LSB Certification, and The Open Group for UNIX certification.
