Richard Gabriel has made available online the text of all the CLOS
papers he authored or co-authored. They include the original design
documents and some overview articles. CLOS (Common Lisp Object
System) is the Object-Oriented subsystem of the Common Lisp
programming language.
Richard Gabriel is currently a Distinguished Engineer and chief
scientist of a research laboratory at Sun Microsystems. He is Sun's
Open Source expert and is also the president of the Hillside Group,
which is well known in the software patterns community. Gabriel has
been president and CTO at former Lisp vendor Lucid, Inc. He was
involved in the design of CLOS, Common Lisp and other Lisp dialects.
