GNOME Structured File library (LGPL)

What is it ?
============
It's goal is to provide a simple i/o library that can read and write
common file types and to handle structured formats that provide
file-system-in-a-file semantics (Eg OLE2 or zip). There are some
additional utilities for document centric applications.

What is new in this release ?
=============================
This is a high priority bug fix release to patch corruption when
writing gzip or bzip2 approximately .3% of the time. It enables the
gnome-vfs backend, and patches a potential problem writing MS OLE2
files larger than 13.6 Meg on PPC.
