MONTAVISTA UNVEILS FREE EMBEDDED LINUX 'PREVIEW KIT'
A new free 'Preview Kit' lets embedded system developers evaluate
the capabilities of MontaVista's embedded Linux distribution and
tool suite in advance of making a purchase commitment. The kit
demonstrates several key packages and technologies included in
MontaVista Linux Professional Edition 2.1, and includes a full
MontaVista Linux kernel which runs on a range of popular reference
platforms spanning 11 processors from 6 architecture families.

METROWORKS RELEASES GRAPHICAL DEVELOPMENT SUITE FOR EMBEDDED LINUX
Metrowerks has announced a series of graphical tool suites for

graphical development environment for creating complex applications

NEW EMBEDDED LINUX SUPPORT FOR MOTOROLA DRAGONBALL CPU
Valourtech Company Ltd announced a port of its vtLinux Embedded
Linux OS to Motorola's DragonBall MX1 wireless application
microprocessor.  Valourtech's support for the MX1 includes a
hardware reference design along with development tools, IDE, an
optimized Linux kernel, a small and efficient GUI (PicoGUI), and a
