Subject:  [announce] Developer's Guide - Call for participation
Date:  Fri, 16 Aug 2002 11:19:22 +0200

Dear members of the OpenOffice.org community,

currently a new developers documentation is underway, the OpenOffice.org
Developer's Guide. The goal of the guide is to give developers and solution
providers the necessary means to use OpenOffice.org as componentware, using
its API in their own projects and extending it according to their needs.
Sun Microsystems has commissioned two independent software developers,
Ralf Kuhnert and Dietrich Schulten, to write a Developer's Guide based on
the raw material which have been written in the previous months by the OOo
developers. We want to cover the needs of the community and bring in your
experience. Therefore we would like to invite you to participate in this effort.
Please visit http://api.openoffice.org/DevelopersGuide/DevelopersGuide.html
for more detailed information about the OpenOffice.org Developer's Guide
(to see what we've already got and what you can do).

Dietrich Schulten
Ralf Kuhnert
