Interesting thought. I can't say I disagree with your view entirely, but... Two points:

1. Fedora's up2date is a supported way to upgrade to newer releases.
2. Fedora is likely to be around for a long time, in one form or another. Are you sure you can say the same about White Box Enterprise Linux?

Still, you are right that the short life span of Fedora releases could be of concern.
