It handles orientation changes for you with < and > as well as uses space, backspace and other keys to move around the list file. I use 'feh -r -q -p -A "gimp -s -d %f" when I pull the images off of my camera. If I want to crop or otherwise edit an image, I just hit return and it comes up in the gimp.
