03.11.04 Progeny Transition Service attracts Japanese partner.
Indianapolis, IN - March 11, 2004. Progeny today announced that it is
partnering with Clara Online, a Japanese hosting provider, to offer a
localized version <http://clara.co.jp/service/linux/> (see
http://clara.co.jp/service/linux/) of the popular Progeny Transition
Service (PTS).
"Progeny is pleased to partner with Clara Online to deliver localized
Red Hat(r) Linux(r) security updates to Linux users in Japan," said
Progeny CEO Garth Dickey. "Clara Online's service greatly extends the
reach of Progeny Transition Service by providing Japanese translations
and local support for the growing Japanese Linux market."
Progeny Transition Service offers software updates for Red Hat(r)
Linux(r) 7.2, 7.3, and 8.0, with support for version 9 starting May 1.
This service is based on Progeny's Platform Services technology and
provides a flexible migration path for Red Hat Linux subscribers. (More
