Well, I bought an LWN.net gift certificate to an MEP. I guess it was a bit too late for this issue but
if they had some enlightment from LWN.net in future, hope so.

I have had a related thought on buying LWN.net subscriptions. There have been numerous
articles, which I have had desire to buy and hand reference to others for discussion. $30 is a bit
too much for an article now and then. The problem with lower payments might be high costs per
a payment. A "subscriber's wallet" model might work better in this respect. I could put $30 into
the wallet and then pass an article to non-subscriber non-technology fellow.

Is there possibly other subscribers, who have similar needs?

What is IP versus service here?
