Well, not /left/, but as mentioned in the LWN writeup for a couple releases
ago, his main machine is now a ppc970. The writeup quoted a remark he'd
made to LKML to the effect that he didn't even know enough about the
architecture yet to patch his own machine! <g> However, the editor
(Corbet, I believe) pointed out that given a bit of time to get up to speed,
PPC64 should be getting a bit more of attention from the top, now, of course
benefitting other Linux users of the architecture, too.

Linus still has the other machines around for testing and other use, I'm sure,
so he hasn't /left/ Intel, but yes, his main devel machine is now a G5, aka
ppc970.
