It was still being distributed years after it had been pointed out, by numerous reviewers, that the entire document was nothing but misinformation and irrelevancies promoting the author's non-standard string class and some other (obscure) language. The continued presence of this one HOWTO made me disinclined to take the LDP seriously, or to contribute time.
