G'day LWN.

My name is Jacinta Richardson and I'm the training coordinator for Perl
Training Australia. We're currently planning to run some courses in
Sydney and Brisbane which we hope will be of some interest to your
readers. I've written up the following press releases and hope you might
find them interesting. If there's a better way for me to present this
information to you then I'm happy to rewrite this for you.

All the best,

	Jacinta

2 press releases follow:

Object Oriented Perl training course in Sydney

So you know Perl, but you've never really played with its Object
Oriented features. Sure, you've used objects, but writing them
is just weird. Why can't Perl just do OO like Java, or Python or
any other "proper" OO system?

For the first time, Perl Training Australia is running our very
popular Object Oriented Perl course for public enrollment in
Sydney. This course assumes a good working knowledge of Perl and
covers both how to use Perl objects and more importantly how to
write Perl objects. It covers multiple inheritance,
polymorphism, destructors, exception handling and operator
overloading.

Perl Training Australia, an Open Source training and consulting
firm, has found its courses in Sydney to be particularly
successful in the past. "We've had a huge response in our
introductory Perl courses in Sydney", said Perl Training
Australia's training coordinator Jacinta Richardson.

The course is running over the two days: Thursday 15th - Friday
16th April 2004 and will be held at the University of Technology,
Sydney in Ultimo. To book a place go to our bookings page at:
	http://www.perltraining.com.au/bookings.html

Perl Training Australia runs introductory and advanced level Perl
training and is currently developing a Perl Security training
course. It provides publically enrollable courses, corporate and
on-site training.

Introductory Perl training courses in Brisbane

Perl training is back in Brisbane! About 4 years ago Netizen
presented their very popular Introduction to Perl and
Intermediate Perl courses in Brisbane. These were well received
and now Perl Training Australia is planning to offer updated and
improved versions of these courses again.

For the first time, Perl Training Australia is running our very
popular "Welcome to Perl" series for public enrollment in
Brisbane. These courses assume some experience with another
programming language and cover everything you need to get a
decent start in programming in Perl. The topics include variable
and data types, operators, functions, writing subroutines,
conditionals, looping structures, regular expressions, file input
and output, references, system interaction and security and use
of modules and packages.

Perl Training Australia, an Open Source training and consulting
firm, has found its Welcome to Perl courses in Sydney and
Melbourne to be very successful in the past. "We've run these
courses for public enrollment several times in Sydney and
Melbourne and the response has been huge. Brisbane is the next
logical place to open them up to" said Perl Training Australia's
training coordinator, Jacinta Richardson. "We've already had
quite a lot of interest in the course".

The training courses will be running on the follow days:
Thursday 22nd - Friday 23rd of April and the 30th of April. To
book a place go to our bookings page at:
