Firefox's default theme is gorgeous, I'm very happy using it on RH9 as well as on Win2k.

Given how simplified and streamlined Firefox is, I would think the problems with Firefox not fitting in with the Gnome HIG would be rather less than the problems with Gnome apps not fitting in with KDE/Qt apps or with Xfce stuff.

I haven't used Epiphany in a while, but I don't know that I can think of many advantages from a GTK Gecko browser, unless there is a very active and devoted developer and user community supporting it. Firefox already has a that.
