Developing code for samba is done by the reverse engineeringof microsofts file and printer server sharing software. As anyone would know, microsoft always wants to be master on their own platform, even if they have to perform ugly programmer tricks to hit back to the competition. In this way samba as a CIFS server basicly has been grown out of ugly, Microsoft initiated, kludges over the previous ones. Robert
