Changes since 1.1.3:
# Fix bug relaying messages to downstream MTA - only affected some MTAs. [1]
# New mechanism for blocking completely empty "probe" messages.
# Core is now 8-bit clean. [2]
# Fixed licensing bug with some command-line options of mstripconf.
# Force empty messages to be handled as spam.
# X-MailStripper headers removed altogether - the MailStripper ID is
and score or virus tag is added to a "Received: by MailStripper-deliver"
header. [3]
# MailStripper-ID now only added to log file if the sender is going to send
some message data.
MailStripper 1.1.4 is available for download from our website at
http://www.eridani.co.uk/MailStripper/
Technical footnote follows:
[1] Most MTAs don't mind whether MAIL FROM and RCPT TO have < > surrounding
the email address. But a few are very picky about this.
[2] This will help where MailStripper is handling foreign language messages
using non-ASCII character sets. This has been observed, even though
SMTP is specified as a 7-bit interface.
[3] This is an effect of an 8-bit clean handler which doesn't garble the
subject line. This new Received: line contains the envelope sender,
the internal Message-ID, and either the score or the antivirus warning.
