MIGRATEC SIGNS HP AS LICENSED SERVICE PARTNER;
HP PURCHASES 1st LICENSES OF MIGRATEC'S 32DIRECT SOLUTION
HP To Use 32Direct for Customers' Application Migrations
DALLAS - August 8, 2002 - HP, a leading global provider of IT products
and services, has signed a corporate-wide agreement to become a MigraTEC
Licensed Service Partner. MigraTEC (OTCBB: MIGR) is a leading provider
of application migration solutions.
Under the terms of the agreement, HP can license MigraTEC's 32Direct Solaris-to-Linux
migration solution to deliver migrations to its enterprise customers.
HP Consulting has purchased the first block of licenses for MigraTEC's
32Direct cross-platform solution under the new agreement for use with its
clients.
"MigraTEC's 32Direct fills an important need in HP's overall porting and
migration strategy," said Laurie Clough, HP Consulting Software Services
Practicing Principal. "Its ability to identify needed changes in source
code is far superior to any other migration methodology and technology.
MigraTEC allows us to engage customers more quickly and accelerate their
migrations from other legacy vendors to newer, high performance HP hardware."
MigraTEC's 32Direct dramatically reduces the risk, time and cost of application
migrations, allowing service providers and enterprises to manage the migration
process predictably and efficiently.
MigraTEC and HP have already been working together to deliver migration
solutions to its customers.
"This Service Partner Agreement builds on MigraTEC's previous relationship
as an HP Business Partner and makes us a vital part of HP's growing Solaris-to-Linux
migration business," said Wes Blair, vice president of sales and marketing,
MigraTEC. "This contract endorses our approach of working with our partners
to build their migration service businesses using MigraTEC's technology
as a foundation."
