GETTING STARTED WITH UCLINUX

LINEO ADDS SUPPORT FOR DEBIAN BINARIES TO EMBEDDED LINUX SDK
Lineo announced addition of support for the use of Debian GNU/Linux
binaries to its Embedix Software Development Kit (SDK). The Debian
Binary Import Tool is intended to enable developers to quickly
integrate hundreds of traditional Linux applications into their
embedded products.

QT# 0.4 IS NOW AVAILABLE
The Qt# project announced a version 0.4 of Qt#, a cross-platform
GUI toolkit for Mono and Portable.Net which provides a set of
classes that bind any CIL language to the Qt toolkit. Qt# is free
software, licensed under the terms of the GNU GPL.

PROGRAMMING WITH MICROSOFT FOUNDATION CLASS VS. QT
This article at freehackers.org compares the use of Trolltech's Qt
graphical C++ toolkit with that of the Microsoft Foundation Class
(MFC) toolkit. The article is written by a developer who was
already familiar with Qt when he began programming with the MFC
toolkit.

LINUXWORLD EXHIBITORS REV THEIR ENGINES
The technology world is bracing for the big annual LinuxWorld Expo
& Conference in San Francisco, which takes place August 12-15 at
Moscone Center. This year's keynote speakers include Sun
Microsystems CEO/chairman Scott McNealy, Oracle CEO/chairman Larry
Ellison, Google cofounder/president Sergey Brin, and IBM Global
Services senior VP Douglas T. Elix. This year's 'Rookery', where
newcomers to LinuxWorld's expo floor are situated, features 28
exhibitors from 12 different countries and is four times larger
than last year. Even Microsoft is getting in on the action, with a
