HEADLINE: MOVEit Crypto Linux Achieves FIPS 140-2 Validation

Madison, WI - The US and Canadian governments have approved MOVEit Crypto
Linux by Standard Networks as fully meeting the stringent requirements of
Federal Information Processing Standard 140-2. This makes MOVEit Crypto one
of the very first FIPS 140-2 validated cryptographic software products
available for the popular Linux open source operating system.

MOVEit Crypto Linux is a fast, compact, dynamically linked library that
provides an easy-to-use application programming interface to its Advanced
Encryption Standard (AES) encryption, SHA-1 hashing, and pseudo-random number
generation algorithms. MOVEit Crypto is typically used to encrypt sensitive
information stored in databases, and its FIPS validation can help
organizations demonstrate compliance with the US Health Insurance Portability
and Accountability Act (HIPAA) security standards and the privacy
requirements of the Canadian Personal Information Protection and Electronic
Documents Act (PIPEDA).

MOVEit Crypto Linux can be used with all current major distributions of
Linux, including Red Hat, as well as with FreeBSD with Linux ABI support.
MOVEit Crypto Linux has the same capabilities as its FIPS certified sister
product MOVEit Crypto Windows, which runs under 32-bit versions of Microsoft
Windows.

The MOVEit Crypto products are part of the MOVEit secure transfer and storage
software family developed by Standard Networks. For more information,
including evaluation and licensing options, visit www.stdnet.com.
