New server installed

LWN is now running on its newer, faster server; thanks to Rackspace for giving us an upgrade! We think everything is working, but no doubt one little problem still lurks somewhere. If you encounter any paranormal phenomena, please let us know at lwn@lwn.net.

Good catch. Also right after the pictures - looks like it wants to link to the previous page, which is zero.

Hmm...PHP weirdness. I've forgotten how to do PHP. Part of the problem is fixed but the rest will have to happen later...

I don't know if it did this before or not, but my color preferences are not intact on the Penguin Gallery pages. I modified my style from default colors (the black title bars with white text and orange left nav) to the 'classic' yellow from old school LWN. These changes are not appearing in the Penguin Gallery.

For anyone elso looking for the 'classic' look:
Page background color: #ffffff
Left column background: #ffffcc
Middle column background: #ffffff
Headline background: #ffffff
Form background: #eeeeee
Text color: black
Link color: Blue
Visited link color: DarkBlue
Quoted text (in email) color: #990099

To get to these settings, Click on 'My Account' and then select 'Customize your account' from the body of the loaded page.

I first became aware of LWN not all that long ago, [when | because] it was telling everyone goodbye. I'm glad that did not come to pass; and this is a much happier occasion :O)

I dont know about specs... but here from Portugal LWN site is defnetly more quick... even the Penguin Gallery

Nice! At least here from Los Angeles, California it seems a lot faster (when browsing)...eventhough its not that a major update of hardware is it? :) Maybe it's just me/psychological...hehe.
