Or maybe open an account at a bank inside the Euro-Zone, transactions are cheaper inside. (Or will be cheaper in the near future?) Bank orders to the USA are very expensive. Credit cards are unpopular in Germany and maybe in whole continental Europe. People here prefer direct transactions, maybe by celluar phone, but no credits ;-) Sending notes in an envelope isn't an option, I fear.
