Good MOVE, IBM!
Now, PLEASE, bring Lotus Approach to the space for users like ME. Lotus Approach and Word Pro are THE only two thinks forcing me to continue using Win98. I cannot get The Kompany's Rekall to work, but I am sure in time it will install without my needing to do anything like search for dependencies.
Of ALL the END-USER (not Admin) database-agnostic front ends out there, Approach DESERVES to be ported or rewritten. At least try to work with Borland, decompile Approach, adjust it for at LEAST Mandrakr & SuSE, and help bring a sensible, non-maddening GUI FRONTEND to a NON-SYSADMIN database tool.
I honestly believe that if SOMEbody addresses this issue, it will help those "hidden-cubicle" workerbees and database diletantes have yet another useful tool (YAUT) and give yet another kudo (YAK) to Linux and Linux distros and Linux apps developments.
