(Register) Incidentally, RSA was a UK trade secret for some five or so years before the patent was filed ... That's another problem with patents. If X files a patent, and Y was using the exact same idea as a trade secret, I think X can demand royalties from Y or even stop them using the idea! Even if they can prove their trade secret is many years old! Cheers,
