But do it quarterly,NPR Style.... that is pick one to two weeks every quarter, and have the 'donate-a-meter' running with amount needed/amount collected. That way users don't get 'used' to seeing the 'donate-a-meter' everytime they visit the site..... Consider non-profit organization.... that might appeal to a wider audience (as far as donations go)... and you could have companies/sponsors 'match' donations during these quarterly shing digs... g'luck!!!
