As a long time subscriber, I feel comments should be a

On comment abuse Posted Nov 22, 2003 16:15 UTC (Sat) by jdthood (subscriber, #4157) [Link] Perhaps the privilege could be extended to non-subscribers on request,on proof of identity comparable to that required for subscribers, on provision of a valid reason ("Credit cards are illegal in my country", or some such), and on the condition that the guest not troll. This would alleviate the one worry I have about subscriber-only posting, which is that it could exclude categories of people who _can't_ subscribe. --
