There is definite interest, and there are some people working on getting FLOSS in the door in Canada. The way IT provisioning is structured for the Canadian Government makes it highly likely that once the (lenghty) process of "checking it out" is succesfully passed, adoption will be relatively rapid and smooth. Don't give up just yet ;-)
